Mike is a West Bend native who joined Baird in 2005 after nearly 15 years of business management experience, specializing in business acquisition, integration, and development. He received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida. He completed the Certificate Program for Financial Planning at DePaul University and earned the Certified Wealth Strategist® designation from Cannon Financial Institute.
In 2025 The Nowack Group was recognized by Forbes/Shook Research as a Best-In-State Wealth Management Team* and Mike was also named a Forbes/ Shook Research Best-In-State Wealth Advisor.**
Additionally, Mike has been recognized as a Five Star Wealth Manager by Milwaukee Magazine over multiple years. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force and worked with NASA’s Space Shuttle Program prior to returning to Wisconsin.
Active in the community Mike has taken on leadership roles in several areas including being past Presidents of the West Bend Economic Development Corporation, West Bend Area Chamber of Commerce and West Bend Sunrise Rotary and is active in other non-profit organizations. In 2017 Mike was awarded the Betty Pearson Community Leadership award by his community peers.
Mike and his wife Tracey have two adult children and enjoys many outdoor activities.
